Steel columns rise out of its base and branch out like the limbs of trees, supporting a clear, crystalline glass skin. Inside, the flora of Switzerland flourishes in a constant climate, fed by the sun through its translucent roof. The Greenhouse Botanical Garden in Grueningen is the design work of idA, an architecture firm with celebrated works in countries around the world. This masterpiece of sculptural architecture is one to behold, a work that represents great strides in glass architecture and faceted design. Imagine an hour or a day alone in this little chapel to nature. We feel at peace just thinking about it.
